Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo - 4-acre Aviary

July 2008. There are over 120 bird species in this massive aviary, and the boardwalk through the exhibit is probably the largest of its kind.

In terms of size this aviary is incredible, but the quality isn't up there with similar walk-through aviaries in Miami, Taronga or Melbourne. In Omaha the signs, diversity of bird life and visitor walkways could be spruced up a little and it would once again be an amazing experience.

Which continent does it reflect or is it just a random mixing of birds from aroun the globe?

Some of the species are flamingo, stork, ibis, spoonbill, etc, and it appears to be a mainly tropical collection of odds n' ends.

Shoebill!!!!!
