Sure it is only a huge pile of sand...but it is an amazing introduction to the famous Desert Dome in Omaha.
 
It's home to a pair of thick-knees (very cool birds), and is therefore one of the very few exhibits in the Desert Dome that actually gives its inhabitants room to roam. And it is a very spectacular experience to encounter as you enter.

Cool, I didn't know that animals lived there.
