African Veldt- African Penguins and Reticulated Giraffe

Species: African Penguin, Reticulated Giraffe

Ok, that is about the most bizarre animal combination I have ever seen.

I was at the Montgomery Zoo in Alabama yesterday, and there is the typical African Savanna (giraffes, zebra, ostrich, various antelope species) with penguins and pygmy hippos seemingly able to access the entire area. Bizarre!

It's different that's for sure

How interesting to mix these two species together..........how long have they done this for?
