There are always loads of big cats inside this cat complex, and while the outdoor exhibits are subpar the indoor areas are brutal. Some might say that the zoo is simply showcasing its holding areas (which not all zoos do) but these fish bowls are always packed with carnivores and it is totally unacceptable to have such an outdated building at any zoo, much less a spectacular one such as Henry Doorly.
Yes, I would say they are simply showing their holding areas, which many zoos don't do. It's just an odd attitude of not criticizing a problem simply because you aren't allowed to see the problem.
