For an exhibit which is suggested by some to be the very acme of 'natural' presentation, that back wall looks rather unpleasant, and the roofing positively industrial. What was the Baldur verdict on the Lied Jungle?

By and large, as long as the general feeling of a zoo is good, I usually do not let such things as a wall bother me. I'm mature enough to know that no zoo building (be it the Jungle World, Lied Jungle or maybe something rediculously expensive to be built in Dubai in the future) will ever come anywhere close to being in a South American or Asian Rain Forest. So I never enter a zoo armed with such high expectations. All that matters to me is the general feeling of a place.
The truth is that the Lied Jungle provided me with the most realistic rain forest experience I have ever had - and it will be like that until I visit an actual rain forest for the first time. Until then, I won't be bothered by the walls or anything else in there and will just treasure the memories of the place and the rarities I saw in there.
