Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo - Penguin Exhibit

July 2008. One of the better penguin enclosures in North America. It even has snow falling from the ceiling!

Nice exhibit, does the snow fall the whole day? I've seen the exhibit on the webcam that the zoo has, and I've never seen the snow fall.

I was there for 10 minutes and snow was falling the entire time, but I can't vouch for anything beyond that. The pool is also much deeper than most other penguin exhibits, and like everything else at Omaha this is bigger and better than most others of its kind.

@snowleopard: did the penguin exhibit change at all in the aquarium renovation, or is it still the same as it was originally?

I think that the penguin exhibit is basically unchanged after the $6.5 million renovation, and there are around 85 birds in the habitat.
