Expedition Madagascar - Walk-Through Lemur Exhibit

July 6th, 2012.
This walk-through zone was very disappointing as the side exhibit that once held Coquerel's sifakas had black-and-white ruffed lemurs in it, and within the visitor space I only saw a couple of curled-up red ruffed lemurs and that was it. It was honestly a waste of time walking through due to the lack of animals, but hopefully others have had much better experiences at Expedition Madagascar. I was recently a few feet away from a couple of mongoose lemurs in the Calgary Zoo's all-indoor lemur walk-through and I think that was one of the highlights of that Canadian zoo.

The lemurs weren't out when I was there this summer. It was 103 and they were in the shade.

On my visit the exhibit had a rather large and active group of red ruffed lemurs. It was actually quite a highlight.
