Desert Dome - Black-Footed Cat Exhibit (Atrociously Tiny)

July 6th, 2012.
Interesting...used to be home to bat-eared foxes. I may be wrong (I often am), but I think the exhibit goes back a ways.

The exhibit is very tiny and not only that but is essentially a large grey slab of cement with almost zero natural substrate on the ground. The bat-eared foxes are now next to the meerkat/klipspringer enclosure.

Looks like they need to replace black-footed cats with fennec foxes.

Or a lizard. Just a question for anyone who has seen this in person: What do you think would be an appropriate species for this little cave?
