Predators of the Serengeti is the newest exhibit complex at the Oregon Zoo. It is a renovation of the Alaska Tundra section of the zoo. It now houses lions, wild dogs, cheetahs, caracal, dwarf mongoose (not yet on exhibit), red-billed hornbill, African rock python, and various small reptiles and invertebrates.

Cheetah habitat.

Yeah, it's interesting the conversion from the Alaska exhibit to an African one. The trees in the background seemed to work better as an Alaska exhibit. Also in the far corner of the Wild Dog exhibit (formerly the wolf exhibit?) there is an ENORMOUS conifer tree.

The trees are what throw me from seeing anything of "African" surroundings here. Look's more like a North American or European habitat. Nice and spacious though.
