Is this a California condor? I thought only the LA Zoo, San Diego Zoo, and San Diego Safari Park had California condors.

It is a brand-new exhibit with California condors and Santa Barbara Zoo is another facility that also has the same species on show to the public.

Also, the Peregrine Fund in Boise,ID has them on show as well. As does Mexico City.

They are certainly more common than California condors. Los Angeles, San Diego, Fresno, Phoenix Zoos, and the Tracy Aviary all have them in the west. Several other zoos have them too.

Actually, Phoenix no longer has them, they were sent back to Los Angeles. Zoo Boise has one as well.
