In 1988 the butte on the right kept a large herd of Nubian ibex

@Ituri I know that after the Nubian ibex left, they used their space to expand the Desert bighorn sheep exhibit. Do you know where the ibex were sent to or if they bred while they were at Phoenix Zoo? Also do you know how and where the ibex were originally sourced?

Of those questions the only one I can answer is the ibex did indeed breed and quite well. No idea where they came from or where they went.

@Ituri ah thank you for letting me know. This butte and the climate in Maricopa County are definitely appropriate for Nubian ibex, so I can't say that I am surprised that breeding occured.
