This particular outdoor yard is larger than most I've seen for komodo dragons, and the lizards will certainly enjoy the incredible heat that is in Phoenix. That city is scorching hot in the summer, and yet it is in the top 5 most populated cities in all of the United States!
 
That is why the Phoenix Zoo opens at 7am during the summer. I think they actually let members in at either 6am or 6:30am!!!
 
May other zoos take note. Exhibits shouldn't just be new, but should provide more space as well. This is a prime example; providing a large space for the largest of lizards.
