Excellent exhibit for one of the most underrated bears in the zoo world. This is probably my most favorite out of all bears, and when the LA zoo sent theirs to San Diego, the old one you saw in SD, I was really bummed (sad/mad).
A bear can be seen in the background by the viewing windows, while a second one is relaxing in the cool water on what was an absolutely scorching day. Spectacled bears are not very common in North American zoos, and so this exhibit in Phoenix must easily be one of the best of its kind for this particular species.
