Mixed Species African Savanna

Aug. 2nd, 2011. Species include: Reticulated giraffe, Masai giraffe, common eland, gerenuk, Watusi cattle, Thompson\'s gazelle, ostrich, lappet-faced vulture, Ruppell\'s griffon vulture, East African crowned crane and yellow-billed stork.

This multi-acre savanna really is one of the best of its kind in North America, and the species list is diverse and impressive. Watusi cattle sometimes rub folks the wrong way, but the scenic backdrop and the fun of locating all of the animals diverts attention from the domesticated animals.
