The blue thing is a colorful metal sculpture, there were a few of them (in different shapes and colors). They appear to be public art meant to add to the path. They do not closely resemble real plants nor does it appear they are intended to. Kind of ugly to those of us who prefer things natural, but they are not inside the tiger space and from other vantage points they are not really noticeable. Overall the exhibit is nicer than what I expected based on photos I have seen online.
