The area shown is the old painted dog exhibit. This view is from the remaining viewing area that also overlooks the rhino exhibit below. The older female cheetah is off-exhibit. Four young cheetahs from Africa will move in when it reopens. The next door giraffe exhibit is closed because the fence is out do to construction. There is also going to be a new barn built for the giraffes’ new exhibit-mates, several zebras.
That's cool, it's looking like this is going to be a good year for the Pittsburgh Zoo with all those renovations and the addition of Coolio the elephant seal.
