Puffin Exhibit

August 2009.
Powerful misters were spraying the puffins on the day of my visit, and the birds would clean their feathers in the grass and then plunge into their pool at the base of the cliff wall. The netting in the background, towards the left of the photo, is for the adjacent walrus exhibit.
 
This looks like an excellent exhibit. Puffins and other seabirds often get a raw deal in aquariums - I despised the one in aquarium of the pacific.
