Asian Forest Sanctuary - Scrub Forest

August 2009. Sumatran tigers, white-cheeked gibbons, siamangs, lowland anoas, small-clawed otters, malayan tapirs and crested porcupines rotate through a series of 5 exhibits. There are some mixed-species habitats, and zoo visitors never truly know what animal will be in each exhibit whenever they pass through the Asian Forest Sanctuary.

This exhibit is a perfect example of the idea of rotation and how it affects visitors. I've visited the zoo 3 times, and I first saw white-cheeked gibbons in this enclosure, then sumatran tigers, and finally malayan tapirs. It's not a great exhibit by any means, but there is quite the range of animals that have access to it.
