The exhibit is only a few years old and the rockwork is rather crude in places, but what is interesting is that it is in the children's section of the zoo and thus geared more for kids.
The photo shows perhaps 25% of the indoor area for the large troop of meerkats, and the animals have a decent amount of space outdoors as well:
