This enclosure is part of the Asian Forest Sanctuary complex, and it used to be used as yet another of the rotational exhibits that are part of this section of the zoo. Once the $1.1 million Cats of the Canopy habitat opens later this year then this indoor area will once again be used as a passageway to move animals between rotational zones. I already posted 3 photos of the construction work on the upcoming new exhibit.
The two young clouded leopards can be seen in this photo as they perch high up on their wooden platforms, and the hope is that the zoo can begin to breed them when they become older.
