Thanks Vogelcommando, Thylo
@Thylo: Outside aviary. There are at least 5 birds. One of most interesting addition at Prospect Park Zoo Btw, kangaroos & wallabies are gone. I couldn't find Cape Barren Goose as well. X(

I'd say so. It only takes an hour or two to visit each one. The only trouble might be trying to get from one to the other in a reasonable amount of time.
I recommend to visit both zoos in one day. Like Thylo said only take 1-2 hours for each zoo (I spent more at Central Park Zoo: Red Bird-of-paradise).
Use subway, if possible. B/Q to Prospect Park Zoo and N to Central Park Zoo. The trains connect/transfer at Times Square 42nd. Prospect Park - Times Square subway ride might take around 30-45 minutes. Central Park Zoo - Times Square about 10 minutes.
Of course this is your trip and up to you on what to do, but wouldn't you rather visit Bronx? I lot more species and a lot of rarities not seen in many other places, in some examples not any other places!
As said above the pigeons are in the small aviary on Discovery Trail.
