There's more vertical space that the photo doesn't show, but not that much. The viewing opportunities are better at Racine Zoo, but I'm not really a fan of either exhibit. It's disappointing though that the spider monkeys and gibbons at Racine zoo have outdoor exhibits, and the orangutans are stuck inside.
Racine now joins Toronto, Cleveland, Fort Wayne, Brookfield, Pittsburgh and other zoos in a competition for the worst orangutan exhibit in North America. All indoor enclosures, and all hugely disappointing in many ways.
