Ever since the Flight Connection aviary replaced the old main aviary (maybe 6-8 years?). There are two screened off aviaries in the back of the walk-thru aviary. One has a pair of these great hornbills and the other has a pair of trumpeter hornbills with their three (now large) chicks that hatched last year.
Are you sure, because on my last visit the Flight Connection wasn't very old and I remember trumpeter hornbills and either wreathed or wrinkled hornbills. I swear I would have remembered if it was great hornbills.

Yes, I'm sure. This photo was actually taken a couple years ago. Here's the info from the docent animal info pack they recently printed for us: GREAT INDIAN HORNBILL (Buceros bicornis). Received Reid Park Zoo January 2005 (male) and July 2005 (female).
