Obviously this is the giant anteater exhibit (the symbol of your neighborhood zoo!) and I must have uploaded too many photos that day to remember them all. Speaking of anteaters, when are the Reid Park Zoo's giant anteaters going to breed again? The tamandua birth is excellent news, but it is time to breed the big guys as well!
Believe me, we want to (especially since we run the giant anteater SSP). We have one male and two females. The problem is that the one female who likes the male (and vice versa) are not recommended for breeding. The other female who does NOT like the male (and vice versa) are the ones we actually want to breed.
