artificial dung beetles

Along the edge of the visitor path in the new elephant exhibit.

This kind of stuff is awesome for zoo visitors of all ages. I really applaud Reid Park Zoo for incorporating elements like these dung beetles (and the rock python in the tree) because detailed touches like that can elevate the overall quality of an exhibit.

And they look so real too!

I love when zoos create educational exhibits like this. But are there any zoos that actually have a live dung beetle exhibit to educate visitors?
