December 4, 2012. Docents got to meet our male baby named Quito. One of five tamanduas, with a sixth due later this month. (Sadly for guests, all off exhibit).
The mother is raising it. The staff pulled it away briefly so docents could have a meet and greet. (Also part of its acclimation for an education animal).
