I was briefly in Tucson from the night of June 30th to the morning of July 1st before heading off to San Diego Zoo after visiting this zoo.
I must say despite the size of this establishment, I had a great time. Most of the animals were active (except for the Big Cats because well... They are Cats so that was expected) leading to some great photo opportunities.
I believe I spent about two and half hours there but the best part was definitely Expedition Tanzania. It is great to finally see a top-notch elephant exhibit.
