Nothing has been started yet on gibbons, though there is a sign advertising the new exhibit. The old gibbon exhibit (just west of the new carousel) is still in use. The area for the new exhibit, which is where the sign is, is the former sun bear exhibit (just east of the carousel and adjacent to tigers). The sun bear yard and connecting warty pig yard and the sarus crane yard across the path from them are all empty. The sun bear died and the pigs and cranes were shipped out. It appears the new gibbon exhibit (whenever it happens) will take all three areas. I think based on the sign that there will be an overhead animal walkway across the path.
I should say the old gibbon exhibit is still there. Whether or not it is still in use I do not know. On this evening, I do not recall seeing them on exhibit.
