San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Fort Worth Zoo, Cincinnati Zoo and Rio Grande Zoo all have gorilla exhibits that are remarkably similar. A long, narrow grotto environment might have looked great a couple of decades ago but these days the exhibits appear to be outdated relics. At Rio Grande I remember thinking that the dry moat was actually not quite as wide as it should have been but at least visitors are fairly close to the apes.
