Where are these displayed Jana? I have recently been to Prague, and did not see them (unfortunately). Thanks!

They are displayed in the house Afrika zblizka, opposite to gundis. They´ve been put on display a few says ago and are still shy and hide a lot. They are mixed with African brush-tailed porcupines.

I ´m unsure about their exact determination. A zoo employee said D. arboreus at first and also Zoo Ostrava records their animals as D. arboreus, but now Prague lists them as D. dorsalis on ISIS. I ´ve never seen a tree hyrax before so I just don´t know.

We saw an empty exhibit with a small label for these on it (and a much bigger sign saying the exhibit wasn't finished).

I don't know whether to be annoyed it was only a couple of months before they went on show or relieved it wasn't just a matter of days!

Ah well, a reason to go back to Prague is hardly a bad thing!

Nice shot, Jana.
