Some great shots here Jana, as ever Prague has done a good job with this building. What is the big long white building in this photo?

As the title says, the big long white building is a wintering house for waterfowl. Its off-exhibit as well as the small aviaries behind this house. Visitors can view only the 4 big aviaries in front of the house and the small double-greenhouse on the left side (shoebill pair lives there).

Very nice exhibit and idea. Are there anything like it elsewhere? This is a very good example of birds exhibits being upgraded in a zoo. Not just being a nice background or detail in a park environment. What other species are there?

Lednice´s ponds (a nice birding site here in Czech rep.) aviary: Little bittern, White-head duck, Hoopoe, European roller, Golden oriole, Pied avocet, Black-winged stilt, Common redshank, Ruff,
Pantanal aviary: White ibis, Scarlet ibis, Boat-billed heron, Roseate spoonbill, Bahama teal, Ringed teal, comp duck (S.american), Crested oropendola,
Paroo aviary: Blue -winged kookaburra, blue-faced honeyeater, Australian magpie, Masked lapwing, Common bronzewing, Wonga pigeon, Tawny frogmouth.
