Was this allowed this summer as well? Buffalo Zoo says there's a NY State Regulation that Elephants have to be separated from the public through an elephant barrier at all times. So curious if other NY zoos do follow this regulation.
They temporarily had to stop letting people touch the elephants but were able to change that ruling and its one of the few zoos in the world where you can do this, the elephants are so use to it that they actually enjoy it.
