Even though it is quite rocky this appears to be a decent-sized spectacled bear exhibit. In fact, the "Wildlife Trail" section of the zoo with large enclosures for tigers, penguins, red pandas, bison, etc, seems to contain a lot of modern, natural-looking habitats.
This originally use to be a Kodiak Bear exhibit, they use to fill the water with fish for the bears, there's actually a decent amount of grass in the back side, but being a climbing bear that can be found in the Mountains it fits them pretty well.
Its also nice because you get different level of views as well, to the right your high up looking down, and as you travel around you find yourself at the ground level with a glass window
