The former Black Bear exhibit I think. When I was a kid, my friend went to the US to visit her grandmother who lived in Sacramento. She visited the zoo and gave me some photos which I sadly have long since lost.
Black Bear or possibly Polar Bear. I remember reading a zoo book many years ago that had a photo of a Polar Bear, in what the author considered poor living conditions, taken at the Sacramento Zoo. That enclosure looked very much like this one.

This was the former grizzly bear enclosure. It is the last of the grottos that has not been renovated with the moat filled in and the exhibit space tripled. The polar bear grotto to the right of this is now an anteater exhibit. The grotto to the left held sloth bears and has been renovated into a snow leopard exhibit.
