Okapi Exhibit

Saint Louis hasnt been the greatest zoo for okapi...

Why? The exhibit looks good for them.

Its not always about how nice the exhibit is...espeically when 6 okapi have died there in the last five years.

Oh, now that's understandable.

What are the resons for thier deaths, maybe, they had bad luck ? But if you see the okapi stall in the antelope house or the second okapi house from inside..The okapi house isn't open to the public, no wonder. The exhibit on that picture is the exhibit to the okapi house.

The majority have been gut impactions, I believe.
