Just birds. It is a major makeover of the historic World's Fair walk-through aviary.

It has these species in it:

Black-crowned Night Heron
Blue-winged Teal
Bufflehead Duck
Canvasback duck
Cattle Egret
Double-crested Cormorant
Great Egret
Green Heron
Hooded Merganser
American Wood Duck
Northern Bobwhite
Northern Pintail Duck
Ruddy Duck
Roseate Spoonbill
Snowy Egret
White Ibis
Yellow-crowned Night Heron

I have also seen an alligator snapping turtle.

That's a nice line-up of species!

In 2008, I actually found this aviary quite boring and disappointing in size, having read for years about the famous 1904 St. Louis Worlds Fair Aviary and how huge it was. And it appeared to be lightly populated. On my second visit in 2010, I was much more impressed; not so much with the size of it, but because it seemed to have come to life with many more birds in view. A much better photo opt experience.

I never saw one animal accept a snapping turtle.
