When I saw the photo of this exhibit taken facing the other way I thought there might be a bit more space out of view but nearly the whole exhibit is shown here. I try not to say bad things about exhibits that I've never seen but this exhibit for elephants looks totally unacceptable.
I don't always agree with the IDA, but reading through the choices of the worst American zoos for elephants I found myself nodding in agreement with many of the choices. I know that some ZooChatters don't appreciate such lists so I think that it is appropriate to post the link in the San Antonio Zoo gallery (#1 on the infamous list).
