Aquarium Entrance

Aug. 16th, 2010.
How is the San Antonio Zoo's aquarium?

For some reason this entrance reminds me of the Alamo, which I guess would be at least geographically appropriate for this zoo.

How strange - I was just going to say that I expected to find John Wayne in a coonskin hat here, but you beat me to it!!

An excerpt from my 2010 review:

Aquarium – This 1940’s building is similar to the small aquarium at Houston Zoo, as both can be toured in about 10 minutes. An electric eel, an alligator snapping turtle and bonnethead sharks are the highlights, although it is small and totally unmemorable.

Interesting note with the Alamo. As many know the SAZ is in a limestone quarry. This quarry is where the Alamo originally came from before it became the Alamo.
