GrizzledTree Kangaroo, San Antonio Zoo

Ugh very jealous! I didn't bother getting around to San Antonio until 2010, If only I did my Texas Zoo trip back in 2000 I would've seen these and Hirola!! I remember calling Glady's Porter Zoo in like 2005 trying to find out if they still had the Jentinks Duiker (which I had horrible photos of from LA Zoo but at least had seen already) and the Hirola, but the final Hirola had passed away within the past 6 months or a year from when I called. Oh well.

For many years London had a solitary Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo, kept in an inadequate enclosure. It must have hopped its way, somewhat uncertainly I don't doubt, to the Great Forest in The Sky about 25 years ago. To the best of my knowledge there have been no Tree Kangaroos in the UK since.

It would be nice to see them again..

There's been one (Goodfellow's) at the wonderful zoo in Belfast for a few years now.
