sooty mangabey 23 Dec 2013 This looks like a speckled pigeon (Columba guinea) - although it is not as reddish as is usual.
Hix 23 Dec 2013 It's a male Diamond Dove (Geopelia cuneata), an Australian species. This looks like the silver mutation, not the wild morph..

Hix 23 Dec 2013 I'm sorry if I wasn't clear: when I said "It's a male Diamond Dove" I wasn't suggesting it, I was stating an indisputable fact. i.e. 500%. And I used to keep them. Delightful little birds.

FBBird 23 Dec 2013 More % than you can shake a stick at, it's a White-rumped Silver Diamond Dove. Different shape from Speckled Pigeon, which is much bigger, equivalent Domestic Pigeon. Diamond Doves are Budgerigar size.
