An outstanding exhibit for clouded leopards, and this and the National Zoo's enclosure are probably amongst the best in North America for that glorious species of cat. The only problem is that it is extremely difficult to spot a cat...
Sometimes it can be difficult from the front of the exhibit if the cats sleeping, as they usually are during the day. There are spots on either side of the exhibit where you can usually see through the plants and spot the cat. Also, if you're up on the Monkey Trails path above and behind the exhibit, you get a perfect view of the whole back side of it.
This exhibit is enclosed on all sides & top by a large wire net. So no glass panes or moats or fences. You can see what the netting looks like in the light area on the right side of the picture.
