So is the elephant exhibit going to be used for another animal? or is it going to remain empty?

It will probably remain empty for some time.

The plans for Elephant Mesa call for it to be rebuilt as an African Savannah bioclimatic zone, but I would imagine that could take some time to happen.

I'd be surprised if they don't put something in there in the interim, but I don't know what. Rhino's sound good to me

They would have to change the name of that section to Rhino Mesa. lol.

They will also need to fill the tapir/capy exhibit with something new as well.
