Scripps Aviary

Artificial rain falls once an hour in this tropical forest aviary opened in 1923. Over 100 bird species are on exhibit. Photo April 4, 2009.

The San Diego aviaries are amongst the best of their kind on the planet, and I'm not even a huge bird fan.
