This is a very neatly designed exhibit - the viewing windows are in the 'indoor' area and the back half is an otuside aviary, meaning if/when the birds have to be kept in in winter they are still on show at the same windows. Also, the dividing mesh wall between the aviaries is one giant electric shutter, so the birds can be mixed or separated at the touch of a button, the mesh divide simply folding away into the aviary roof.
Impressive exhibit for this amazing bird. I like too the way the Shoebill is 'arranged' in the bottom left hand corner, as if modelling for the exhibit. Very clever shot.
