Still Rucervus in my head - the Groves/Grubb book is on my Christmas list.
I assume this is a Groves/Grubb change? Many of the changes in that book are not yet widely used - IUCN still has this species under Rucervus, for example - and many proposed changes don't end up being widely accepted (Panthera sumatrae being a case in point). Until I have it on hand I haven't applied its changes to my notes/lists/photo labels.
According to the Groves / Grubb book Ungulate Taxonomy (which I thoroughly recommend) this is actually Panolia thamin as all three forms of brow-antlered deer are listed as distinct species in this volume.
