San Diego Zoo - Spotted Hyena

August 2008.
They have striped hyenas in this enclosure now. The spotted hyenas are right next to them though, in the old rock goat enclosures... =/

Oh yeah, you are right. Its hard to tell when most of their grottos look the same. The SDZ has had striped hyenas in the other enclosure for quite a long time and I remember the hyenas being in bear canyon for some time.

Okay, so that we are clear... the spotted hyenas now live in a former goat grotto in the area formerly known as "Dog and Cat Canyon", now dubbed "Africa Rocks", correct?

You are correct. Yellow-footed Rock Wallabies are also living in former goat grottos and a pair of Gorals are also living in a pair of goat grottos.
