Giraffe Indoor Exhibit at Prague, 25/08/12

Very impressive house, but I\'d rather the giraffes weren\'t sealed behind glass.

This may be the world's first giraffe aquarium.

Must reduce the visitor experience somewhat, no 'feel' for the animals' nearness, and what about that delightful smell, does the glass mask it?

To be honest, I've never actually seen them inside (always in the paddock) but you don't get the 'giraffe house' smell when you go in.

Madrid´s giraffes have a glass fronted stable too.

Not a big fan- I think it looks like live Giraffes in a museum setting!

I think the giraffe indoor enclosure in Prague zoo looks better than the Seoul zoo's enclosure.

My favorite giraffe indoor exhibit. It's the only place I know you can get so close and personal with a giraffe and truly feel it's size when it's only a few inches away from you. It's really intimidating, and you'd never get that feeling with bars or wood between you and and the animal.

You also get a good whiff when you walk in, so no problems there. It's also much larger then this picture makes it look.
