Visiting the San Diego Zoo is at times like becoming immersed in a tropical rainforest or some exotic jungle, as there are occasions when the gift shops are left behind and one strolls down heavily forested areas that contain a dizzying collection of plants. It must be nice to have sunshine almost every day of the year!
