Monkey Trails and Forest Tales, opened in 2005, is an extremely effective outdoor primate house. It is sort of a hodgepodge of many varieities of monkeys, along with pygmy hippos, pigs, crocodiles and a number of other smaller animals. The enclosures are all above average, and far superior to many outdated zoos with their all-indoor, antiquated buildings for primates. Here the monkeys have lush outdoor exhibits that can often be seen from ground level and a raised walkway.
