The kopje exhibit is truly one of SDZ's gems. Excellent landscaping, realistic rockwork and generous planting. It looks to be aging well too - i had first seen it featured in a documentary when I was a young kid and had never heard the term "kopje" before. I was immediately drawn to it.
And it probably didn't cost a bomb to build either.
I couldn't agree more! The klipspringer in the photo gives the exhibit scale, and only a portion of the habitat is shown. The only difference from my previous visits is that there used to also be mongooses in with the antelope and hyrax.
